Quick guide

What can Birthday Countdown help you do?

Enter a birth date to count the calendar days remaining until the next birthday, including zero when it is today.

Best for

Check how many calendar days remain until the next Gregorian birthday when planning a gift or gathering. This handles one birthday at a time. It does not maintain a birthday list, send notifications, schedule reminders, or convert lunar-calendar birthdays.

How to use it

Enter a full birth date in place of 1990-01-01; it cannot be later than today. The widget uses this year’s month and day, advancing to next year if already passed. A birthday today gives zero. Recalculate after midnight rather than expecting a live countdown.

How to read the result

The output is the calendar-day distance from your device’s today to the next birthday. It contains no hours, minutes, or ticking seconds. Birth year helps reject future dates, while month and day define the recurring target; the upcoming age is not displayed.

Privacy and limits

The widget processes the date on this page, without a contacts account, synchronization service, reminder system, or birthday calculation API. The site separately includes analytics resources. When checking another person’s birthday, avoid exposing their full date of birth in shared screenshots or messages.

For February 29 birthdays in non-leap years, JavaScript date rollover makes the target March 1; there is no February 28 option. This result is not a scheduled reminder. Check your intended celebration date separately if your convention differs or you use a lunar birthday.
