Quick guide

What can Business Days Calculator help you do?

Free business days calculator. Count workdays between two dates while excluding weekends. Useful for projects, invoices, and deadlines.

Best for

Count Monday-through-Friday dates in a range as a starting point for scheduling. The widget excludes Saturdays and Sundays only. It has no region, public-holiday, or substitute-working-day settings, so its output is not an official business calendar or a determination of a deadline.

How to use it

Choose the start and end dates; the example runs from May 1 through May 31, 2026. Edits update the count automatically, and Use sample restores those dates. If you enter the dates in reverse order, the calculator swaps them rather than returning a negative count.

How to read the result

Both endpoints are included when they fall on a weekday. Selecting the same weekday twice returns 1, while selecting the same weekend date returns 0. This is an inclusive weekday count, not elapsed calendar days, and weekday public holidays remain in the total.

Privacy and limits

This branch counts dates in the browser without requesting a holiday API or storing a project schedule. Copy result writes the output to the system clipboard only when clicked. For sensitive schedules, consider clipboard synchronization settings and the destination where you subsequently paste the result.

Adjust separately for local holidays, substitute workdays, rotating schedules, and company closures. Do not use the raw count as a legal deadline or payroll determination. The implementation loops through individual dates, so very long ranges may slow the page; use practical intervals and verify them separately.

Frequently Asked Questions
