Quick guide
What can Cooking Conversion Calculator help you do?
Use this free online cooking conversion calculator in your browser. No sign-in required, practical for everyday work, study, design, and content creation.
Best for
Convert recipe quantities between cups, tablespoons, teaspoons, and milliliters, or between volume and grams when you already know ingredient density. The calculator does not identify ingredients or look up densities for flour, sugar, oil, or other foods automatically.
How to use it
Enter a nonnegative quantity and select source and destination units; the default is one cup to milliliters. Leave density blank for volume-only conversions. Crossing between grams and volume requires a positive density in g/ml. Converting a unit to itself preserves the original quantity.
How to read the result
This tool defines a cup as 240 ml, a tablespoon as 15 ml, and a teaspoon as 5 ml. Volume-to-mass conversion multiplies by density; the reverse divides by density. Results show up to two decimals, and missing density produces a prompt rather than a water-density assumption.
Privacy and limits
Quantity, units, and density are converted within the browser. The widget does not send recipes to an ingredient service or provide saved recipe storage. Site analytics and possible advertising resources may still connect externally; you need not enter names or a complete private recipe.
Cup and spoon standards can differ between recipes, so compare their definitions with the labels here. Density must match the ingredient and its measured state; loosely filled and packed ingredients are not interchangeable assumptions. Display rounding also limits precision for very small quantities.
