CSV ⇄ JSON Converter
Bidirectional with custom delimiters
Quick guide
What can CSV ⇄ JSON help you do?
Free CSV ⇄ JSON bidirectional converter. Custom delimiters, header parsing, escape handling.
Best for
Turn a small exported contact table into JSON records, or flatten a simple array of records into CSV for another application. A single-character delimiter lets you work with comma, semicolon, or pipe-separated data without opening a spreadsheet editor.
How to use it
Paste into CSV or JSON, set Delimiter, and press the corresponding conversion button. First row is header controls CSV-to-JSON only. Leave it checked for objects keyed by column name, or uncheck it for arrays of cells. Sample fills and converts example CSV.
How to read the result
CSV cells become JSON strings, including numbers and empty cells. Header mode fills missing cells with empty strings. JSON-to-CSV uses keys from the first object and always writes their header row; the status count reports converted data rows, excluding that header.
Privacy and limits
Both conversions use code in the browser, with no file upload or CDN parser request in this widget. Clear empties both text areas. Remove personal records before sharing examples, and consider where you paste the converted table or JSON afterward.
Duplicate headers overwrite earlier values, and cells beyond the header width are dropped. Later JSON-only keys are omitted; nested values are stringified rather than flattened. Failed conversions clear their destination. Review formula-like cells before opening exported text in a spreadsheet.
