Quick guide

What can Discount Calculator help you do?

Enter a nonnegative original price and one discount percentage from 0% to 100% to calculate sale price and savings.

Best for

Find the price after a single percentage reduction and see the amount saved alongside it. Use it to compare straightforward markdowns. It does not model a shopping cart, minimum purchase, shipping charges, coupon eligibility, or a cap on the discount.

How to use it

Enter the original price and the percentage taken off, then calculate. A price of 100 with 20% off becomes 80, saving 20. The percentage is the reduction, not the portion of the price that remains payable.

How to read the result

Savings equal original price multiplied by the discount rate. For successive discounts, use the first sale price as the next original price: 20% off 100 gives 80, then 10% off 80 gives 72. Adding the percentages would give a different result.

Privacy and limits

Prices are calculated within the browser; the page does not read a cart, store account, or purchase history. No coupon code or payment details are needed. Share the price comparison without including order numbers or delivery information.

Use a rate from zero to 100%. Tax, shipping, discount limits, and stacking rules are not included. Check the retailer's checkout breakdown before paying; this arithmetic does not establish eligibility for a promotion or guarantee a merchant's price.
