Meme Generator
Add top and bottom text to your image
Quick guide
What can Meme Generator help you do?
Create a PNG meme in your browser by uploading an image and adding uppercase text at the top and bottom.
Best for
Use this to add top and bottom captions to your own image for a simple meme. There is no template search, sticker layering, or video editing. Short captions work best on images with enough space above and below the subject.
How to use it
Select an image and replace the default top and bottom captions; leave either field empty to omit that line. Editing updates the preview, or press Generate. Check the caption edges, then download PNG. Reset clears the selected image and restores example text.
How to read the result
Output keeps the original pixel dimensions. Captions are centered, white with black outlines, and converted to uppercase where applicable. Font size depends on image width with a 28-pixel minimum. The downloaded text is flattened into the image rather than saved as editable layers.
Privacy and limits
A local object URL loads the source image, and browser Canvas draws the captions. This code has no image upload or external meme-service request. Drafts are not saved, so retain your source and wording separately. The download contains all visible image content.
Captions do not automatically wrap, shrink, or avoid faces. Long lines can be clipped, and top and bottom text can overlap on short images. Shorten the wording and inspect the result. Do not present joke captions as genuine quotes or expose private photos without permission.
