How to use it
Enter the amount on which you want the tip based, a percentage such as 15, and a whole-number group size, then calculate. For 60, 15%, and two people, the tip is 9, total 69, and share 34.50.
How to read the result
The percentage applies to the entire amount you enter, so choosing a pretax or post-tax base changes the tip. The total including tip is divided equally. Check collected amounts against the bill when rounding shares to the smallest currency unit.
Privacy and limits
This calculator does not contact a payment provider or charge a card. It only needs the bill amount, percentage, and number of people. Avoid including card details, addresses, or names in screenshots used to discuss the split.
